Piccadilly Circus

With a mere 24 hours in London, we only had time to drop our bags at the hotel, find a bus to get to the tube so we could get to Piccadilly Circus to meet up with Amber for a few hours. We had a great time – we managed to score an outside pub table for 3, right amongst the action, so we supped our beers and ate dinner while watching the crazy world and Catherine Tate go by (she’s starring in a Shakespeare play on Charing Cross Rd at the moment).

Kewing Up

After an overnight stay at Heathrow’s Radisson, we picked up our rental car, and with Di driving & Linz navigating, we head towards Wimbledon amongst the queues of traffic heading to the Men’s Tennis Final – I mean, are we mad or what?  With quite some organising, we had managed to hook up with Di’s nephew and Di’s friend’s daughter at the Express Tavern at Kew Bridge where we had a good old fashioned Sunday roast together.  We smelled the Thames before we saw it and wandered down to check out the house boats …
